| Description | A close-up of the stainless steel rebar that first arrived at the site for use in the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with Vtrans for use as part of the durable stainless steel deck reinforcement. The cause for the problem was identified as rebar steel being produced in large coils, which the fabricator then cut to desired lengths. The quality required correction before use to meet the need of durable deck reinforcement. |
