Description

This three light window dates from circa 1430, and depicts St Michael and St John. On the left, St Michael slays a three-headed dragon. His face was stolen in 1842.

St John the Evangelist is shown on the right. Despite holding a martyrdom palm, he lived to old age. The palm is related to the funeral of Our Lady, St John's task was to carry the palm before the coffin. When unbelievers attempt to disrupt the procession they are struck blind, and later healed by the touch of the palm.
