Description
Русский: К сожалению, о самой Марианне Кирцингер (1730-1809) почти не сохранилось никаких биографических данных. Известно только то, что она обучалась живописи в Мюнхене у гравера Якоба Дорнера. Представленные в календаре работы выдают зрелого мастера, каким она и была в то время, когда граф Николай Петрович Шереметев сделал ей свой заказ. Эти картины, быть может, позволят нам вернуться в то время, которое кажется нам теперь, несмотря на «издержки крепостничества», прекрасным, теплым и человечным, когда человек не потерял еще, как писал поэт Е.
