Summary
[edit]DescriptionStafford railway station 2096166 79a6acf9.jpg |
English: Down Relief express entering Stafford. View SE, showing Stafford No. 4 Box and some of the extensive sidings on the approach to Stafford on the West Coast Main Lines from Rugby and London and from Birmingham. The express is on the Down Fast and will not be stopping as Stafford's through platforms were on the Slow lines only; it is headed by LMS 'Jubilee' 6P 4-6-0 No. 45571 'South Africa'. This was a very busy location: a freight is on the Down Slow on the right, and a shunting pilot (an 0-6-0T) is seen in the centre distance. |
