English: Collection of the Stadtmuseum in Rapperswil : Gothic reliquary, estimated to be property of Countesse 'Elisabeth Mätsch' (Counts of Toggenburg), 1440, church treasury of Stadtpfarrkirche St. Johann respectively former Rüti Abbey.
Spätgotisches Straussenei-Reliquiar um 1440. Am Knauf M-A-T-S-C-H (Elisabeth Mätsch †1442, Gemahlin von Friedrich VII (†1436) von Toggenburg. Laut Zettel nach Bruch geflickt. «Anno. 1725. ist diss Ey durch den Sigristen Hanss Baltasar Büoller ohn Verstähens ab dem Altdar in boden gefelt worden, und in 54. Stückhlin zersprungen, undt alda Stückhlin uf'behalten worden drey sindt aber volkomen verlohren gangen. Anno 1727 sind von Herren Custer Herr Sebastian Ziegler die ohvermelte 54. Stückhlin dem Mahler Joseph Antoni Hunger übergeben, welche er wider Zuosam in ein Ey gericht im Mertzen , und wider in silbriges gefäss eingericht, welches nebet anderen 24 Stückhen Silber aus der Sackharstey gestollen worden den 22. Hornung 1727. Und durch sonderbaren Schickhung Gottes .inert 17.Tagen bekomen alss ist wider von den Goldschmiden frisch uss gebutz worden, uf den heiligen Tag Ostern als den 13.April den Altdar Zierung schön gestalt und gesehen worden, ich Mahler Hunger gab das Ey wider als schier wie gantzer von handen den 9.April 1727. geben, diss imskünftig Zum nachricht.» |
