English: Construction began in the twelfth century, shortly after the reconquest of the city, obtained by Bishop Bernard of Agen to the Arabs in 1124.
It consists of a Latin cross plan with three naves, a large transept (short arm of the cross), chapel surrounded by an ambulatory or ambulatory (aisle around the rear of the sanctuary), dome or lantern over the crossing (small tower square), the twin towers in the western facade and a tower (the Rooster) on the south side. Has the Cloister to the north. Although it began in the Romanesque style, as a whole is a good example of Cistercian architecture, transition to Gothic. The photo shows the outside of the ambulatory, the lantern, the Torre del Gallo and one of the towers of the western facade.
