Summary
[edit]DescriptionSt Stephen West Bowling (136).JPG |
Label stop head by Catherine Mawer, on St Stephen's Church, Newton Street, West Bowling, Bradford, England. The church was designed by Mallinson and Healey, and consecrated in 1860. There are four of these heads on the church, two placed either side of the north and south main doors. Outside the north door are portraits of Queen Victoria and Robert Bickersteth Bishop of Ripon, who consecrated the building in 1860. The portraits by the south door are unidentified. All are badly weather-worn. This one is by the north door. It is a portrait of Queen Victoria. |
