Summary
[edit]DescriptionSt Peter Barton-upon-Humber heads 008.jpg | St Peter's Church, Barton-upon-Humber, Lincolnshire. Showing label stop head on gallery in nave. This is a self portrait of Catherine Mawer in faux Romanesque style. Normally she is shown with long, unbound hair, but here she has a head cloth falling in ringlets either side of her face. Note that all of these heads have some some indication of movement, even if it is only in the direction of the eyes. | ||
