Summary

[edit]
Description

The Wenhaston Doom c 1500 - 1520. Found accidentally when the Victorians left the whitewashed wood tympanum out in the churchyard in the rain.

The magical thing about Suffolk is that you can decide to visit a church you have not been to before and stumble upon a stunning 600 year old work of art, unheralded, free, accessible, unattended and jumbled up with the church cafe tables and leaflet display.
