Description
English: Grade II* listed St Peter's church, Gloucester

St Peter's Catholic church dominates the corner of London Road and Black Dog Way.

The site was acquired by the Catholic Church in 1790 and a small chapel was erected. Work on the construction of the current church began in 1859. The church, built in the Gothic Revival style, was solemnly consecrated by the Bishop of Clifton, the Rt. Rev Dr Clifford, in 1868.

Grade II* listed in March 1973.
