| Description |
English: St Paul's RC Church St Paul's, housed in a former cinema, can be found on the junction of Clumber and Bulkeley Roads.
Poynton's first cinema in Bulkeley Road was built in 1922 and had to have its own generator to provide light for the projector, powered by a Ruston gas engine as there was no public supply till the 1930s. This cinema closed just before the Second World War, and the church was formed in 1941. |
