English: St Michael's, Kingsland. The impressive interior, an example of Victorian restoration enhancing the building's appeal. The chancel ceiling and many of the furnishings are the work of George Bodley working alone, 1866-8 (not in partnership with Thomas Garner, as stated in Pevsner). This information comes from Michael Hall's recent splendid monograph of Bodley. |
