Description
English: St Matthews, Scarva St Matthew’s (in the parish of Aghaderg) CoI church stands on a hill, to the east of the village. The first church was established in 1600, destroyed in 1641 and rebuilt in 1688. The present church dates from 1850. An otherwise pleasant scene is not enhanced by an intrusive lamppost.
