| Description |
English: Monument on the wall of the south aisle of St Mary's parish church, Yelverton, Norfolk, to Humphrey Rant (1597-1661), Barrister-at-Law. He married Anne Drury, a daughter of Sir Anthony Drury (c.1576-1638), of Besthorpe, Norfolk, MP for Norfolk in 1625[1]. Arms: Ermine, on a fess sable three lions rampant or (Rant, granted by Robert Cooke (c. 1535-1592/3), Clarenceux King of Arms, 1574 (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.839)) impaling Argent, on a chief vert a cross tau between two mullets pierced or (Drury) |
