Summary

[edit]
Description
English: St Mary's Church, Cilgwyn Currently (2006) undergoing major restoration work, this tiny church is hidden away in a damp wooded valley. Originally it was a chapel of ease to the parish church at Nevern a few miles to the north and an ancient road, Ffordd Cilgwyn, led worshippers to the shrine via Trefdraeth/Newport. There are some lovely examples of carved slate gravestones in the churchyard.
