St Marks Church Londonderry, Smethwick

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The parish church of Saint Mark, Londonderry, Smethwick. The land on which it stands was transferred from Oldbury (Worcestershire) to Smethwick (Staffordshire) in 1927. In the following year a temporary church was constructed, to be replaced by the present structure in 1935-6. The architect, Frederick Randle, was based in Smethwick and had taken over the practice of the well-known local public-sector architect Frederick Gill.
