Arms: Argent, on a bend between two tigers salient sable three dolphins or (Osborne) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.764 "Osborne of Cleby, Essex (location uncertain) and of Kirkby Bydon (sic, should be w:Kirby Bedon), Norfolk"). Impaling: A fess between three dolphins naiant embowed (Blennerhassett ? for his wife). Thus possibly for Edward Osborne (1607-1670) of Seething and his wife Elizabeth Blennerhassett. Arms of Blennerhassett usually blazoned as Gules, a chevron ermine between three dolphins naiant embowed argent |
