English: St Margaret, Tivetshall St Margaret, Norfolk - 14th c. stained glass window, arms of FitzOtes / FitzOthes / FitzHostes / FitzHothes of "Fitshall, Norfolk" (per Burke): Bendy of six or and azure, a canton ermine (Francis Blomefield, 'Hundred of Diss: Titshall', in An Essay Towards A Topographical History of the County of Norfolk: Volume 1 (London, 1805), pp. 205-212 [1]) (Farrer, Edmund, Church Heraldry of Norfolk,
Vol 1 (1885), p.40 [2]) (Papworth, John Woody, Alphabetical Dictionary of Coats of Arms Belonging to Families in Great Britain and Ireland, Vol.I, London, 1874, p.353; Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.356). The arms of Botetourt were also visible in a window in this church, according to Blomefield. Maud Fitz Thomas (1269-1328), the daughter of Thomas Fitz Otes and Beatrice Beauchamp, in abt 1282 married John Botetourt, 1st Baron Botetourt, of Little Ellingham and Upton, Norfolk, etc., son and heir of Guy Botetourt, Knt., and his wife Ada.
