[edit]DescriptionSt Luke's organ at St Giles' - geograph.org.uk - 432820.jpg |
English: St Luke's organ at St Giles' This organ, along with much of the furniture, was transferred from the Hawksmoor church of St Luke in Old Street which was closed in 1959 due to subsidence.
Although much of the organ has been remodelled the core is the 1733 original. Below can be seen the busts of Daniel Defoe, John Milton, Oliver Cromwell and John Bunyan, all connected with this church. |
