Summary
[edit]DescriptionSt James, Tedstone Delamere (geograph 3399138).jpg |
English: St James, Tedstone Delamere. A charming small church set below the immaculately groomed lawns of Tedstone Court. The church displays both its Anglo Saxon origins and the heavy hand of the Victorian restorer, who in this case was George Gilbert Scott. He rebuilt the chancel, and added the timber bellcote and the South porch in 1856-7. The South side. The weathered original head of the 14th century churchyard cross is in a glass case by the lychgate. |
