| Description |
English: Parish church of St Decuman, St Decumans, Somerset, seen from the southeast. This is probably the only church named after Saint Decuman in the Country. Legend has it that Decuman was a late-7th-century hermit from Wales whose head was cut off by "a certain man more venomous than an asp, more poisonous than the adder". After this experience he picked up his head and, carrying it under his arm, made his way across the channel and back to Wales. |
