Description
English: St Botolph, Botolph Morley, Norfolk - Ledger stone of Rebecca Spratt, daughter of Isaac and Rebecca Spratt, who died January 16th, 17-7. Arms in a lozenge-shaped shield suitable for a female: Argent, a chevron sable between three sprats (fish haurient) azure (Spratt, canting arms). See another in same church for Isaac Spratt, who died December 29th, 17-8, in his 59th year ; also for Rebecca his wife, a daughter of Robert Grigson. Canting arms: Argent, a chevron sable between three sprats (fish haurient) azure (Spratt), impaling: Gules, two bars and in chief three annulets argent (Grigson) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.430, "Arms of Rev.
