Summary

[edit]
Description
English: St Bartholomew's, Fingest, with twin-gabled tower The website http://www.hambleden-valley-churches.org.uk/FINhistory.htm for Hambleden Valley Churches tells us that "the massive western Norman tower was built early in the 12th century and has unusual twin gables - it is believed that only one other similar construction exists in the country." The tower is wider than the nave. The bell chamber - now containing only one bell - has two openings on each of the four sides of the tower.
