Summary
[edit]DescriptionSt Anns Well- remains of Nottingham Suburban Railway Bridge No 9 (geograph 3051636).jpg |
English: St Ann's Well: remains of Nottingham Suburban Railway Bridge No 9 The brick wall is all that remains of the huge lattice girder railway bridge supported on brick arches which carried the Nottingham Suburban Railway (1889-1951) high over The Wells Road. St Ann's Well Station was on the embankment to the right. On the extreme left of the picture is the junction with Kildare Road, where until 1965 the No 40 trolleybuses from Wilford Bridge terminated and had a turning circle. The picture was taken through driving rain on a filthy July morning. |
