English: St Andrew's church - stained glass window. St Andrew's church, now without its chancel, was extensively restored by architect Frederick Preedy in the 19th century > 859316 - 859321 - 859336. The many stained glass windows > 859324 - 859326 date from that time; the east window > 859322 is by Meyer & Co and depicts the Adoration of the Magi. There is a restored Elizabethan wall text > 859327 at the western end of the nave; the benches are C16 and have poppyheads with carved figures and animals > 859328 - 859331. One bench end has '1544' carved into it > 859334 and another was executed so as to represent a rebus on the village name Brinton: Brin (burnt) Tun (barrel) > 859333. The octagonal font > 859337 dates from the 15th century. The church is kept locked but a key is available. For more information see: http://www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/brinton/brinton.htm
