She was a daughter of Fountain Elwin II (1703-1735) of Thurning (where survives his heraldic ledger stone File:St Andrew, Thurning - Ledger slab - geograph.org.uk - 2592516.jpg) where she is buried. (Source: Joseph Foster, The Royal Lineage of Our Noble and Gentle Families, Volume 1, London, 1883, p.83 "Elwin of Booton, formerly of Thirning, Norfolk"[1]). Two mural monuments, one to Wake the other to his wife, survive in St Andrew's Church, Thurning. She had issue an only daughter: Margaret Wake (c.1732-1819), wife of Col.
