English: St Andrew's Church - gravestone near the altar The Visitor's Guide to St Andrew's Parish Church says that this blue stone slab of the Revd Todd shows little wear and tear after 300 years in situ. It is a hard limestone containing fossils of the sea lily animal, found especially near Holy Island (Lindisfarne) and consequently called St Cuthbert's beads. |
