English: St Albans: The Lake in Verulamium Park In the past the wall of the old Roman city of Verulamium would have been to the right, with the site of the former Roman Fish Pond straight ahead. The River Ver flows under the trees to the left, while in the foreground can be seen a moorhen and a couple of its chicks. |
