Description

This is the sidewalk leading the location of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Al Capone's men dressed like police in a stolen Cadillac made to look like a police car pulled alongside the curb just north of here. They entered George "Bugs" Moran's S.M.C. Cartage Co. warehouse, forced seven men there to stand against a wall and murdered them with machine guns and other firearms. Five of them were members of Moran's gang, two were non-gangsters. Moran was expected to be among them but was not.

Across the street you can see a red building with a black awning that Capone's men used as a lookout directly across from the warehouse.
