« Des bâtiments visibles sur la photo, mentionnons l’immeuble McLimont (no 1). La maison Wm. McLimont & Son, spécialisée dans le commerce de gros, côtoie alors le siège social de la Banque nationale (no 2), fondée à Québec en 1859. Dans les années 1920, celle-ci acquiert l’immeuble McLimont et procède à la construction de l’édifice actuel, qui abrite un établissement hôtelier de nos jours. En 1916, la Quebec Fire Assurance Company, fondée à Québec un siècle plus tôt, occupe le bâtiment voisin (no 3), au centre de la photo. Construit en 1903, l’immeuble est également occupé par un établissement hôtelier en 2014. » – histoireurbaine.wordpress.com
