English: St. Louis Union Bank and Trust, on Locust Street, looking west from Fourth Street. The bank is adorned with American flags and posts a sign that reads, "Make It Three Straight and Finish the Job. Victory Liberty Loans."
The Victory Liberty Loan drive of 1919 was the last great liberty loan drive of World War I. After the war ended, the government needed money to fund medical care, transportation and expenses that propionates of the load called “obligations that come to the victors.” It ran from April 21 to May 10, 1919.
