English: St. Antoine Hall, Montreal
Français : « John Torrance (1786-1870), commerçant d'origine écossaise, fit construire cette villa vers 1818 sur un vaste domaine reconnu pour ses jardins, ses magnifiques vergers et ses vignes. Le manoir, dit-on, contenait 42 pièces. Il était construit sur un terrain délimité par les rue Saint-Jacques au Sud, Saint-Antoine au Nord, rue de l'Aqueduc (rue Lucien L'Allier) à l'Ouest et rue de la Montagne à l'Est. » – Philippe Du Berger
