Summary
[edit]DescriptionSt. Anthony's Church, dhanushkodi.jpg |
English: This image was taken in Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu, which is now considered a ghost town, due to a major storm in 1964. Apart from this Church, even a fully functional railway station and a train was not spared. It is a reminder for us human beings about how nature can react to its exploitation. Once a very popular coastal town, now only its skeletal remains exists. Except for a few, many people have moved to nearby cities. There is also a place called Arichal Munai, which is literally the southernmost tip of India after which the Sri Lankan boundary starts. |
