Description

Les stèles des Docteurs (Mandarins) sont au nombre de 82, elles datent de 1442 à 1779. Chaque stèle repose sur une tortue qui est le symboles de la longévité et de l'Univers, la carapace de forme circulaire représente le Ciel alors que le corps de la tortue, de forme carrée, représente la Terre.

Les concours (régionaux, nationaux ou royaux) pour accéder au Mandarinat étaient très sélectifs (1% de réussite).
