Description
English: Low-intensity firing operation on the northern flak of the Springs Fire on the Inyo National Forest. Fire managers are utilizing a containment strategy that includes introducing fire back into it's natural role in the landscape. On the right is land that has been treated and on the left is land that was left untreated.

This photo depict the after effects of a low to moderate intensity fire and its results. Plume from active firing operations in the background above Indian Summit Natural Area.
