Description
English: Culinary Specialist 1st Class Jim Carroll runs the main grill during the first steel beach picnic of the Spring Swing, a scheduled deployment for the amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge. Steel beach picnics boost morale and gives Sailors the opportunity to relax and have fun. Blue Ridge serves under Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 7 Task Force 76, the Navy's only forward-deployed amphibious force.
