so THE STORRS & HARRISON CO'S CATALOGUE. HARDY AZALEAS. The most gorgeous of all hardy shrubs. The prevailing colors are orange, yellow, buff and pinkish red. When in bloom are the most brilliant colored plants in the whole list of hardy shrubs. Mollis. A beautiful species from Japan, with large flow- ers of fine shape. By express or freight, fine bushy plants, 50c. Extra strong, well set with flower buds, 75c each; $7.50 per doz. Pontica. (Ghent.) The Ghent Hybrid variety possess a delightful perfume and com- prise a good assortment of colors. Choice named va- rieties, well set with flow- er buds, bv express or freight, $1.00 each, $9.00 per doz. DEUTZIAS. Crenatafl.pl. Double white, tinged pink. 15c. Crenate Leaved. (Crenata.) Pure white. 15c. Candidissima. Pure white double flowers. 15c. Gracilis. Dwarf growing variety. Flowers white. 15c. Wateri. Large, pure white flowers. 15c.

pure EXOCHORDIA GRANDIFLORA. The flowers are pure white, borne in slender racemes of 8 or 10 florets each, on light and wiry branches that bend beneath their load of bloom just enough to be airy and graceful. 15c. ELEAGNUS LONGIPES. One of the most valuable ornamental berry-bear- ing shrubs. 20c; 6 for $1.00. HYDRANGEA PANICULATA GRANDIFLORA. The finest of all hardy shrubs; perfectly hardy in all sections of the country, very easy to grow. Not one plant in a thousand will fail to grow and bloom the first year if given ordinary care. The flowers are in immense large panicles, creamy white when first open, changing to pure white when fully out. and turning pink and bronze with age. Commences to flower in July and remains in flower until Nov- ember. For cemetery planting there is nothing more desirable. 15c each; 50c for 4; strong flower- ing plants, 25c each; 60c for 3; $1.00 for 6; extra strong, by express, 40c each; $1.00 for 3; $2.00 for 7. LILACS. White and Purple. 15c each. PHILADELPHUS OR MOCK ORANGE. SYRINGA. Coronarius. White, sweet-scented flowers. 15c. Flore Pleno. Double creamy white flowers. 15c. Grandiflora. Flowers snow white. 15c. GOLDEN ELDER—SAMBACUS AUREA. A variety with beautiful golden yellow foliage. A valuable plant for producing contrasts when planted with other shrubs. Should have full sun to give best effect. 20c. PURPLE FRINGE—SMOKETREE. Admired for its long, feathery flower stalks. 15c. WHITE FRINGE. A very showy shrub, with beautiful large glossy foliage and delicate fringe-like white flowers. 15c. PRIVET OVALIFOLIUM. (CALIFORNIA PRIVET.) A vigorous, hardy variety, nearly evergreen Makes a desirable ornamental shrub as well as hedge 10c each; $2.50 for 50; $4.00 per hundred. RHODODENDRON,OR ROSEBAY. This, wherever known, is universally acknowl- edged to be the most showy, magnificent, hardy evergreen shrub that grows. The broad, thick ever- green foliage with its glossy richness would alone entitle it to a place foremost in the rank of evergreen shrubs, but when in June this mass of luxuriant foliage is almost hidden by the magnificent array of beautiful flowers in clusters, it is simply grand. Choice named sorts, 15 to 18 inches high, $1.25 each. $12.00 per doz. Extra strong, 2 feet and over. $1.50 each; $15.00 per doz. SPIREAS. Anthony Waterer. A new crimson-flowered variety, one of the most beautiful of dwarf, flowering shrubs. It makes a low, compact bush, covered nearly the whole growing season with large um- bels of deep crimson flowers. 20c; 3 for 50c. Billardi. Rose-colored flowers in spikes. 15c. Bumalda. A very handsome species of dwarf, com- pact habit, bright rose-colored flowers. 15c. Reevesii fl. pi. Double white flowers in clusters. 15c. Van Houtte. The grandest of all the spireas; pure white in clusters. 15c.
