CLIO. Clio. The finest flesh-colored Hybrid Perpetual. The flowers are simply perfection in form, with fine, broad petals,, and are beautiful at all stages of de- velopment, from the small bud to the full, open flower; color delicate satin blush, with a light shad- ing of rosy pink at the center. Very free blooming and strong, healthy grower. 20c. Crimson Queen. An excellent dark red, velvety crim- son, shaded with fiery red in the center; outer petals maroon. The foliage is thick and glossy and the growth straight and vigorous. Duke of Edinburgh. The flowers of this variety are large and full, of a bright scarlet crimson, shaded maroon. The plant itself is of sturdy, compact growth. A very valuable variety. Dinsmore. A continuous bloomer of dwarf, compact habit. Flowers are large and very double, of a beautiful, deep crimson shade. Eugene Furst. Undoubtedly one of the very best dark Roses of its class. In growth and foliage it is everything that could be desired; strong and vig- orous, with thick, healthy foliage. The flower is a beautiful shade of velvety crimson, with distinct shading of crimson maroon. Earl of Dufferin. Fine velvetyj deep crimson, with ma-l roon shading; a free and continuous bloomer. 20c. Francois Levet. Large flower of fine form, on straight, stiff stems; bright, clean rose color. A splendid! variety. General Washington. One oil the freest blooming rosea of this class. The floweri is perfectly double, of i beautiful, soft scarlet) shade, sometimes shading to glowing crimson. Glorie Lyonaise. White tinted) with yellow; large, full and! of splendid shape. The nearest approach to a yel- low rose of this c ass. 20c Giorie de Exposition Bruxelles. A beautiful, dark-colored rose, almc st black; color deep purplish amarinth, base of petals bright red. Very sweet scented. Gustave Piganeau. Very pro- fuse bloomer, with splendid buds; color, rich, bright red. Strong and vigorous grower. 20c. General Jacqueminot. Too well known to require lengthy description. It still holds first place amonvr the dark red roses and is one of the most satisfactory to grow. A rich crimso: scarlet, simply a mass of bloom when at its best. Lady Emily Peel. Flowers pearl white, frequently tinged rosy blush. Very prolific bloomer and quite sweet scented. Louis Van Houtte. An excel- lent dark crimson variety, with shadings of maroon, of fine globular form, large and double. Magna Charta. A general favorite, prized on account of its strong, upright growth and bright, healthy foliage, as well as for its magnificent bloom. TSe color is beautiful bright pink, suffused with car-1 mine.. Mad. Chas. Wood. Continuous blooming and large sized flowers; color rich, bright crimson. Mrs. J. H. Laing. A grand, free blooming Hybrid Per- petual, with fine flowers of soft, delicate pink, with satin cast. 20c. Marshall P. Wilder. One of the best dark red Hybrid Perpetuals; the flowers are large and perfect in form, on good length of stems, making them very desirable for cut flowers; color bright cherry red, changing to crimson. The plant is a strong, healthy grower and very prolific bloomer. Marie Rady. Brilliant red; flowers large and of per- fect form. One of the best. Marchioness of Lome. Flowers large, of an exceed- ingly rich and fulgent rose color, slightly shaded in center with vivid carmine; very sweet, full and finely cup-shaped.
