MUSKMELONS. IVe can supply Newport, Delmonico, Banquet* Starns* Favorite, sorts at: Pkg:.,5c.; 02., lOc; %lb„ 36c.; lb., 60c. Melon—Salzer's Mexican Banana. This is a Banana Melon, of a banana shape, t>anana flavor, banana color and banana qual- ity; it resembles the banana in many respects, only that it is very much larger. It must not be confused with the banana melon introduced many years ago; this is a decided improve- ment in every respect. Everybody who is fond of bananas will hail this Melon with delight, particularly so, your little boy or girl. Give them the pleasure of growing it. Pkg., 15c.; 2 pkgs., 25c.; oz., 25c.; )^ lb., 75c. Salzer's Melon seeds enjoy a high reputation among seedsmen and others for choice qual* ity, excellence of flavor, strong, vigorous vitality and extreme earliness. There is certainly no superior. Planting seed on edge assures quicker and surer growth. Toward off bugsyuse pyrethrum powder. Muskmeloo—Earliest Ripe. Our attention was called to this Melon by a market gardener at La Crosse, who, for the past 3 years, has always had Muskmelonsifrom 8 to 15 days ahead of his neijchbors. These Melons were of uniform size, of fine shape and appearance, green-fleshed, ex- tremely delicious, and sold readily in our market at from $1.35 to SS.OO per dozen, the profit on an acre being something enormous, as all the Melons were usually sold before the other sorts came into the market. THIS IS THB EARLIEST QREEN-FLESHED MUSKMELON that we know of, and it will be sure to create a sensation everywhere. It is ahead ol the Jenny Lind; in fact, ahead of any IVluskmelon that we know of. It is nearly round, as may be seen by the cut, of good size, frequently weighing 9 to 11 pounds each. Of a dark green color outside, heavily netted, while inside the^ are of a rich orange color, and, we venture to say, with thicker flesh than any other variety in cultivation, there being scarcely room for the seeds. As to flavor, they take the lead of all, and are fa u ahead of everything else at present cultivated. It can be recommended alike for either home or marketuse, and has fully demonstrated that it deserves the name of EARLIEST RIPE. It surpasses all others in delicious flavor and unusual productiveness, beauty of form and desirable shipping qualities. It has positively demonstrated Itself AS THE EARLIEST MELON IN THE WORLD. We sold upwards of 25,000 packages of this earliest Melon, and we know we have justthat-, many thousand pleased, delighted, happy Melon growers, and each and every one who has' grown this earliest of all eariy Muskmelons praises it ahead of other sorts. We kno\V that this earliest of all early Melons will please everybody growing same whether growing 1 or * hills, or whether growing 20 or 30 or 50 acres. A Few Out of 25,000, E. E. Ether, New York: "Of all the earliest Melons I have ever tested, this takei the cake. It ripened for me 20 days ahead of the Jenny Lind." F. L. Huff^, Ohio: "It is certainly the earliest ripe Muskmelon I have ever seen. It was ahead of Early Hackensack 3 weeks." H. L. Keefe, Pa.: "I had this Melon in Philadelphia market Ik days before the others, receiving §2.00 per dozen for same." Y. C. Yoe, 111.: '*! have never seen a Melon that equaled this in deliciousness, earliness and good quality. It was 10 days earliet than the Jenny Lind." C. C.Jones, Mo.: "I sold over 800 dozen of this Melon in the St, Louis market, receiving an average price of Sl.OO pet dozen. After my field was clear of these, the Jenny Lind Hackensack and other varieties came into play/' If you want to make money on earliest Melons, there is nothing in the wide world that you can plant that will give quicker returns than Salzer's Earliest Ripe Muskmelon, Salzer's Fourth of July and Salzer's Earliest Watermelon. Price of Salzer's Earliest Ripe Muskmelon. Pkg., lOc; oz., 30c.; 34 lb., 60c.; lb , *i 50; 3 (sufficient for 1 acre), S3.50. PINEAPPLE. (A Winter Muskmelon.) This represents a class of Muskmelons that Is liksly to prove of much value. The color of the flesh is delicate lemon yiel low, and the outer skin is dark green marked with yellow. The quality is delicious, having a rich, spicy flavor that is not pos*^ sessed by any other fruit. This and Salzer's John- son's Christmas Watermelon cannot be excelled* Pkg., lOc; oz., 35c.; %lb., ©1.00; lb.,«3.00. ABSOLUTELY NEW. low, hard rind, crim- son flesh. Will create a great sensation.
