The bis^sest yield in 1896 was 284 bushels per acre. For years this Com has lived in our dreams,—a Corn perfect in all respects, in all requirements, heavy- yielding, deep rooted, large-eared, a Corn that, if any Corn can be made to produce 300 or more bushels Corns and will take first prize wherever exhibited. We expect any number of customers to report ears 1& inches long, finely formed, weighing 2 pounds or more. We bespeak for it a universal trial, for have not large farmers and growers of field Corn anxiouslyrfnquired for many years for a large-eared, deep-ker- believe that we fully answer every requirement in Golden Triumph. It has ripened all over, and if any Corn, in a Corn state, with ordinary culture, on 100 acres or 10,000 acres, will produce from 100 to 150 bushels per acre, this is the Corn that will do it, and with special culture we believe 300 bushels possible. » If w^ didn't, we would not ?ay it, for we have never made a statement regarding any seed which has not been as fully demonsiratea as possiDie. w e trust tnat our tarmer triends will give this Corn a trial. This Splendid Corn is the Result of a Series of Crosses. Subsequently, by a continuous systematic selection, grasping, accumulating and perpetuating the superior merits of its parents, and the good points which nature continually evolves, constantly rooting out the undesirable points, the John A. Salzer Seed Co. now considers this Corn the acme of perfection, standing at the head of all Corns, and we are sure that in 1897 it will astonish the world with 300 BUSHELS OR MORE PER ACRE! Why, sir, in 1896 there were more than forty reports on this^Corn, running from 256>^ bushels to 284 , bushels per acre. Golden Triumph will do it, and we believe more than 300 bushels will be grown per acre the coming season. Golden Triumph is Extremely Early. This Corn ripened thoroughly in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois inside of 100 days. Now, this is very early for the very large, very deep kerneled, very fine Corn, and stamps it ^s one of the very earliest sorts. We believe that th's Corn in a year or two will thoroughly ripen in the Dakotas inside of 80 days, as I through selection and cultivation we hope to ripen this remarkable Corn inside of that time; but when you think of its ripening in about 100 days in these great Corn-growing states, you will readily see that it is an extremely early sort. , $100.00 IN GOLD. That is the sum we will pay to the farmer growing the greatest number of bushels of Golden Triumph Corn above 250 bushels per acre, of 70 lbs. to the bushel on ears, statement to reach us before October 15th, duly attested. Money will be sent Jan. 1, 1898. Now, what state wins the prize? Hurrah, farmers! Let there be a general rivalry. Let everybody plant—from Maine to California, from Wisconsin to Texas. Let's see which farmer and which state can produce the greatest yield of the greatest Corn ever introduced,~-Golden Triumph. JUST STOP AND THINK A MOMENT. If the corn lands of lUinois, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa were planted all to Salzer's Golden Triumph Corn, at the increased yield that this Corn would give over the common variet, ies planted, would give the farmers of these states more than 200,000,000 bu. more Corn, which would mean, at the lowest estimate of 25c. per bu., S50,000,000 from Corn. Farmers, just stop and think, and plant your land to this Corn and make the $50,000,000. It is ready for you if you will only grow the very best there is, and the very best there is in the Corn line is Salzer's Golden Triumph Yellow Dent Com. *- PRICE OF GOLDEN TRIUMPH CORN. Pkg., lOc.5 lb., 35c.; 3 lbs., Sl.OO, postpaid; by freight, pk., 90c; % bu., S1.50; bu , S2.50; 2^ bu., 86.00; 10 bu., S20.00.
