Summary

[edit]
Description Although this beetle is native to North America, it's a major agricultural pest in both its adult and larval forms. As an adult, it eats the leaves of crops like cucumber, cotton, and beans. Its larva is known as the Southern corn rootworm, and it tunnels through the roots of plants, killing them in the process.
