English: Spirostomum is a genus of free-living protozoan ciliates.
Spirostoma lives in water bodies, does not exceed four millimeters in length and moves with the help of short Cilia. One of the fastest creatures. Spirostomum ambiguum is a simple single-celled animal that is often found in lakes, reaches incredible speeds and moves with short сilia.
Українська: Спіростомум - рід вільноживучих найпростіших інфузорій, що належать до різновійчастіих. Спіростома мешкає у прісних водоймах, не перевищує чотирьох міліметрів в довжину і пересувається за допомогою маленьких, коротких війок. Одна з найшвидших істот. Spirostomum ambiguum - це найпростіше одноклітинне, яке часто зустрічається в озерах, досягає неймовірних швидкостей і пересувається короткими війками.
Русский: Спиростомум - род свободноживущих простейших инфузорий, принадлежащих к разноресничным.
