Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 28 April 2013. View of "the Shard" from Waterloo Bridge.

"Spire" is the description of Renzo Piano, the architect, quoted in an article by Dominic Bradbury in The Daily Telegraph in November 2011.

The 'church of Mammon' describes my own feeling about the building, seen across a row of cranes.

Starstruck Journalist's claptrap, eh? § More views about the Shard in links on my page here. § There are now hundreds (several thousand?) photos on Flickr with the Shard building somewhere in the frame.
