Description
English: Spire of St. Mary's Church, Fownhope The shingled oak spire was added to the Norman tower in the fifteenth century. During the 1930s the spire was attacked by death watch beetle and money had to be raised to replace the shingles. The tower walls were also restored and the bells lowered.
