| Description |
Spinney Mountain State Park is a Colorado state park. The park is home to three endangered bird species, bald eagle, American peregrine falcon and white pelican. The park hosts regular fishing tournaments and is considered to be a Gold Medal fishing location with frequent catches of trophy caliber cutthroats, browns, rainbows and northern pike. Hiking, hunting and camping are other activities permitted. The park is open only seasonally. It closes when the lake ices over and reopens when it thaws.
