Français : Sphère en quartz (cristal de roche) dite « de Richelieu ». Provenance incertaine. Ancienne collection des Joyaux de la couronne de France, collection maintenant conservée dans la galerie de Minéralogie et de Géologie, au Muséum national d'histoire naturelle, à Paris en France. Sur le cartel de « Trésors de la terre » (l'exposition permanente de la galerie de Minéralogie) on lit : « Cette sphère, attribuée par erreur à Richelieu, est en fait un chef-d'oeuvre de l'art lapidaire français de la deuxième moitié du XVIIIe siècle. Elle fut offerte à Louis XVI par une cristallerie, possiblement la Manufacture royale de Briançon. Elle pendait à un énorme lustre composé de vrais cristaux de roche extraits à La Grave (Hautes-Alpes). Son poli et sa sphéricité sont exceptionnels. » |
