| Description |
English: Speed restriction, Montgomery Canal. In order to minimise damage to the canal's aquatic plant and animal life, British Waterways impose advisory speed restrictions on boats lower than the usual 4mph for canals. These are 3mph for the stretch between Frankton Junction and Queen's Head, and 2mph between Queen's Head and Gronwyn Bridge. These markers are designed to help boaters assess their speed by timing the passage of their boat between the posts. |
