English: Souleiman Omar Bouh, Deaf and Speechless School of Ali Sabieh, Djibouti, headmaster and sole instructor, communicates with students through sign language Oct. 20, 2012. Service members from the Friends of Africa Volunteers group partnered with Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's Ali Sabieh Joint Civil Affairs Team and the district's Volunteer Association of Education to deliver the school supplies. The partnership, a first between the three organizations, helps to build and strengthen the U.S. military's relationship with its Djiboutian partners. The group plans to continue its work together by bringing additional supplies to the school and constructing a wall between the school playground and the street to improve students' safety. |
