English: Col. Scott Jackson, commander, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team “Spartans”, 3rd Infantry Division, talks to a room full of Spartan females here, Jan. 15. The purpose of the brief was to discuss the role the 2nd ABCT was taking in spearheading the Physical Demands Study in collaboration with U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, and the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, in order to gather the necessary data required to determine if the integration of females into those military occupational specialties currently closed to women is feasible, and if it is, to better determine how to go about doing so.
