| Description |
English: Reservoir on the Cedar River in Spalding, Nebraska; seen looking northward (upstream). A diversion dam, out of the frame to the left of the camera, directs a portion of the river's flow into the canal at right; this leads to a hydroelectric generator, below which a tailrace canal returns the water to the Cedar. The dam was constructed in 1923; it is part of the Spalding Power Plant and Dam complex, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. |
